What TESOL Certification Do I Need for Teaching Jobs in Canada, Online, and Abroad?

The minimum requirement for teaching jobs abroad and online is a 120-hour TEFL / TESOL / TESL certification. The minimum requirement for teaching jobs in Canada is TESL Canada Professional Standard 1 certification.

On completion of the online 120-hour course you will receive a 120-hour Advanced TESOL certificate from Coventry House International-OnTESOL. You will be eligible for TESL Canada 1 and/or TESL Ontario CTESOL (Part 1 of OCELT) certification on completion of Practicum and other requirements.  Please visit https://ontesol.com/tesol-certificate-online/#accreditation for more information.

The 168-hour Hybrid TEFL Certificate course includes the 120-hour course, so graduates who complete the Practicum and meet TESL Canada degree requirements are also eligible for TESL Canada Standard 1 certification.
