Do I need a proficiency score to register with OnTESOL?
OnTESOL
does not require proof of proficiency score to enroll in the 120-hour Advanced TESOL Certificate or the 168-hour Hybrid TEFL Certificate.
Non-native speakers who wish to
receive TESL Canada Standard 1 certification and did not
complete a BA/MA/PhD degree in Canada or another native English-speaking country, will
need a minimum of IELTS Academic 7+ before applying for TESL Canada certification.
Non-native speakers who wish to register in the 250-hour TESOL Diploma must submit a valid proficiency score during enrollment. Valid proof of proficiency score will also be required by TESL Canada for their Standard 2 certification.
